How much do I love a good mineral sunscreen? And, as you know, I’m a sucker for a good product name, too. Seriously Fab’s fabulously named Zinc it Over Fine + Sheer Sunscreen Mist is actually a seriously well-formulated mineral sunscreen that I’ve really gotten into over the last couple of weeks.
In fact, there are several options available with light scents like Fresh Greens, Lavender Bliss and Citrus Passion and a simple unscented version. I waver between that one and the Fresh Greens, which has the delicate aroma of fresh-cut grass.
Which takes me back to the one chore I despised as a kid — mowing the lawn. Fresh cut grass should be freshly cut by someone who enjoys cutting grass. That certainly wasn’t me. Alas, the scent does bring me back.
Seriously Fab’s clean, 100% natural facial sunscreen formulas make it easy to reapply during the day, which I always feel guilty abut not doing consistently. Each of the four contains Zinc Oxide at a five-percent concentration for an SPF 25, which blocks out about 95% of the sun’s UV rays if used on its own. Because of that, I recommend it as an on-the-go touch-up during the day, rather than as your sole daily sunscreen product.
Zinc it Over is formulated with several nourishing and replenishing actives, including high levels of nourishing Shea Butter and Rice Extract — as well as organic humectant Aloe Vera Leaf Extract.
It’s a super lightweight, non-greasy milky mist that melts invisibly into the skin. Finally, I have a portable sunscreen that’s easy to use — and that I can take with me into the City when and where I need it most.
