PRODUCT REVIEW: DRUNK ELEPHANT SWEET PITTI DEODORANT CREAM – THE BEST NATURAL DEODORANT FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

I don’t know how or why I became so infatuated with deodorants of all things but I was crazy excited when Drunk Elephant came out with their new Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream last week.
And just so you know that something is right with the Universe during the Coronapocalypse, Sephora kicked off their Beauty Insider sale. This was the first thing I copped!
You probably know by now that my go-to deodorant comes in the form of an AHA toner like my fave Glycolic Acid-powered toner from The Inkey List! Essentially, AHA’s neutralize the skin surface making it inhospitable to odor-causing bacteria. Think of the surface of Mars where no life can survive. That’s what AHA’s like Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid and Mandelic Acid do to the skin in your underarms.

Drunk Elephant’s Sweet Pitti deodorant is formulated with Mandelic Acid, the largest of the AHA molecules and thus the most gentle.
The thick cream is also infused with nourishing Shea Butter and Marula Oil — and, interestingly, Arrowroot Powder, which Drunk Elephant says is a “super-absorbent powder derived from the roots of the arrowroot plant.”
I’ve been using it now for a week and I love it! It certainly does the job. And even though I’ve never experienced any irritation whatsoever from my go-to Glycolic Acid toners, I know many people are hesitant to try the hack out for fear they’ll burn the delicate skin in the underarms. This just might be what you’re looking for.
It’s a really nice formula, free of baking soda, fragrant plant oils, and aluminum-derived ingredients. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Drunk Elephant!
